Brief Description of Contract: Dnutch provided RAPT/DISA Network IV&V for RAPT proof of concept testing. Raytheon Network Centric Systems (NCS) created a system (known as the Raytheon All Purpose Transport – RAPT) to meet the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) upgrade plans. DISA is trying to create an IP based, fully converged and fully integrated communications infrastructure as DISA integrates in the latest, high-bandwidth technologies with a number of legacy TDM and specialized serial-communications system. The RAPT Solution has several high-density, low to moderate speed systems that support all of the various legacy interfaces required by DISA. It also has a powerful element, network, and system management solution that will allow managing the elements and services within the DISA environment in an integrated COTS solution.
