Craig provides program and project management support on the ESC contract. We lead multi-disciplinary projects that are monitored to enable objectives to be planned within schedule, cost and technical baselines, in order to verify quality assurance of deliverable products throughout the ESC lifecycle. ESC planning and budgeting is a defined process within Craig’s well-established ISO 9001/2008 Quality Management program. Our team monitors project budget and tracks actual expenditures over time, utilizing standardized formats that regulate how our ESC staff estimates costs for project design, development, delivery, and management and compares projected to actual costs incurred. Craig utilizes a structured Monitoring and Controlling process to oversee tasks and metrics necessary to ensure that the approved and authorized project is within scope, on time, and on budget, enabling the project to proceed with minimal risk. This process involves comparing planned performance outcomes with actual performance and driving corrective actions to yield the desired final result, when significant differences exist. The Monitoring and Controlling process is continuously performed throughout the life of the project. The collated information is presented in monthly meetings to simplify and standardize Program Management reviews, and determine corrective Risk Mitigation processes as needed. Craig develops, manages, and upgrades engineering, science and business software applications, databases, and tools. This involves Information Technology (IT) and data management system administration functions for hardware and software systems for engineering, institutional, and programmatic customers. Information Assurance procedures are continually tracked and monitored to ensure controlled access security requirements are executed for systems under development and in operation. During Engineering Development, Craig provides engineering services, support and products for current and future NASA programs. Development tasks are performed, including requirements definition and management, technology assessment, trade studies concept development, integration, testing, analyses, installation, verification, validation, documentation, delivery and sustaining engineering. Craig provides technical writing, editing, and technical illustration of various engineering, science and technology documents, reports, operation and maintenance manuals, plans and presentations. Craig performs requirements management tasks through a change management process to develop, track, and implement changes to baseline requirements. System Engineers participate in review as part of Integrated Process Teams (IPT). This process results in developing and delivering a product or service to our NASA customer that transitions from a functional focus to customer product focus. Craig develops, designs, and maintains ESC’s website by integrating images, typography, and motion graphics. Craig provides the primary Quality Engineer (QE) for the Launch Equipment Test Facility and Engineering Labs. The QE acts as the final approving authority on Work Authorization Documents, ensuring technical and quality requirements are correct, developed, and reviewed for documents in the Quality Management System. Basic logistics operations are performed within the laboratories, shops, and other work sites. Logistics operations include property management, procurement/acquisition management, receiving and inspection, inventory management, storage, maintenance, kitting, assembly/component sparing, staging and hardware dispositioning for property disposal. Craig is responsible for establishing, maintaining, coordinating and executing Configuration Management (CM), which provide a comprehensive audit trail, updates and modifications to track all action items, minutes and all data associated with Design Reviews. Documentation requirements planning and scheduling is coordinated and tracked throughout project life cycles. Configuration and data management activities associated with the transition and turnover of legacy systems/equipment with associated product definition data, including legacy systems and tools are supported. Craig performs primary and support engineering functions for space flight hardware and software systems and associated interfacing ground systems and ground support equipment, as required by NASA, for launch vehicles, spacecraft, and payloads during the phases of design, development, test, evaluation, production, flight hardware and software processing, launch, mission, and post mission.
